Generating a Watermark with iPhotoPlus

Open the destination image
Duplicate the image
Work in the duplicate image, not the original

Select the text tool & add text
Select the selection tool (arrow)
Position the text
On the menu bar select edit/copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Click anywhere in the active window to release the selection

On the menu bar select paste/ as selection to paste the clipboard contents onto your active window
Position the text
Do not deselect
Activate the original image
Copy it to the clipboard
Select the working image

On the menu bar select edit/fill
Select the "clipboard data" option in the Fill window
Click fill

Save
