Lines
There are two types of Line Types available. Normal lines,
which are just lines, and Bezier lines, which are lines with curves.
These are selected in the Line Control Box. Since
Bezier Lines
are covered in the next lesson, we'll concentrate on Normal
lines for now.
Activate the Line Tool by pressing the Line Tool button
on the
Tool Palette. Press the Tab
key on your keyboard to open the Line Tool
Control Palette.
The line Width can be set by adjusting the line width
spinner or by typing the desired width in the space
provided.
The
Antialias
option
is only available for 256
Grey Scale and color depths greater than 256. It's
function is to smooth jagged edges by using shades
of the lines color.
Note the two lines in the example. The line on the
left shows obvious jagged edges while the line on the
right appears smooth.
