Our modest final example nicely illustrates both the referencing
and dereferencing concepts that you need to know in Perl, and
how much mental trauma they can cause when you don't have a well
ventilated room. In fact, references can become much more complex
than we've seen today. In fact, you can read a thorough treatise
on the subject in the
Perl References manual page,
although many who enter this document never return quite the same.
