Conclusion
October 25, 1999
Many site designers assume that once people get to the
ordering page, the sales job is over. Nothing could be
further from the truth. Don't be afraid to include selling
points right there on your order page, and try to remove
peoples' objections as detailed above. Of course, if you
take every one of the above suggestions, you may find your
order page getting cluttered up with a bunch of endless
verbiage. You have to balance the goal of giving people as
much information as possible against the goal of keeping your
pages streamlined and elegantly simple. Like all your pages,
your order page should be well-organized and thoughtfully
laid out, so that it's packed with info, but not cluttered.
And one final word to the wise - make sure it loads quickly!
