There are thousands of software programs available for almost anything you
want to do. Everyday, it seems, someone is designing a program to take care
of some problem, accomplish some task, or automate some mundane chore.
Web development is no different. Given the fact that the work is completely
electronic, software becomes the basis of all the work that a Web developer
does. It is the pen we write with; our canvas on which we paint. We use
HTML editors for building the structure of a page; CSS editors for laying
out the content. We need graphics editors to design and create the
graphical elements on those Web pages. There are a whole host of other
programs and editors to help us accomplish those everyday mundane
chores.
Those programs are constantly being created and updated. Most Web
developers are just too busy to keep up with the latest software.
And forget about updating the ones they already have. Nobody is really sure
why they need the updates, anyway.
That's where WDVL comes in. You're faced with a difficult decision: should
you purchase the most expensive software you can find, or download a
freebie off the Web? How does the software stack up? Will it do all that
the creators say it will? How about that update? Is it really worth it?
Read on to discover the humble (or not so humble) opinion of the WDVL
reviewers....
