Into the Beyond with PSP7

Jasc has forged ahead into new frontiers....
While the program is still in beta testing, it's well worth your time to
check it out, even with the normal beta bugs that you'll find. If you're
squeamish about program crashes or frustrated by features that don't work
properly then I'd suggest you wait for the release version. On the other
hand, if you're adventurous, don't hesitate to grab your copy of the beta.

Paint Shop Pro 7 is a stoke of genius on the part of Jasc Software. Who
would have thought they could find any more features to add, or have improved
on the existing features... but they did! Just take a quick look at what's
new:
- An enhanced Color palette
- Automatic image correction features, including a red-eye removal tool
- An overview window to make navigation at high zoom levels easier
- A Repeat command to repeat the last command used
- The ability to paint and create vector objects with gradients, patterns, and
textures
- Snap to grid and snap to guides to help you align objects
- Several new special effects, including Lighting and Sunburst effects
- Custom line strokes that work for both lines and text
- A more powerful Browser for viewing and managing images
- An Autosave option to prevent possible loss of data
- The ability to save and reload workspace arrangements
Things have moved around some, so don't expect to find all of your favorite
features in the old places. But before you panic, look around. Everything
I've thought was gone has just re-located. The Capture commands have
moved to File>Import and many of the Image Menu commands, such as effects,
have moved to their own Effects menu.
