New Effects

Jasc has once again given that little bit extra when including new special effects. There are artistic effects such as Aged Newspaper, Brush Strokes, Colored Foil, Contours, Enamel, Sepia, and Topography; Sunburst and Lights illumination effects; Polished Stone, Sandstone, Soft Plastic, Straw-wall, Fine Leather, Rough Leather, and Fur texture effects; and Page Curl. I will admit it took me a while to locate the Page Curl effect. I noticed people talking about it in the beta news group but assumed they were discussing a third party filter. Not so. Jasc has included their very own Page Curl.... in the geometric effects. And not to be left out, the Page Curl is fully customizable, including the corner, X and Y values, background and curl color as well as the curl radius!

Illumination Effects

Use the Lights effect to make the image appear to be lit by up to five spotlights using the color, intensity, direction, and location you choose; or select from 24 lighting effect presets. You can even save your own custom lighting effects to the preset list!

Does it get better than this?

You bet it does! There's a separate sunburst effect,complete with it's own dialog box. The sunburst is reminiscent of Adobe's Lens Flare but PSP gives you full control over it including adjustment of the light spot, the rays and the circle. Change color, density and brightness!
