Proposals
You may if you wish supply a preliminary proposal to discover if we
would, in principle, be interested in a topic of your choice.
In any event we absolutely require evidence of your competence and
skill in the topic area, which should always be in the form of one or
more URLs. Submissions without such URLs will not be considered.
We anticipate that normally you will supply only one URL, to your
online resumé.
If you decide to write for us - no procrastinators please -
supply the
following to our Acquisitions Editor:
- Title of proposed piece.
- Keywords and synopsis.
- URL of your portfolio/resume.
- Target audience identification.
- Article Proposal:
Make this summary no longer than three paragraphs.
- Outline: If possible,
include an outline of your article listing the topics you want to
cover in the order you want to cover them.
The outline helps us judge the feasibility of the proposal.
- Estimated Length:
Please estimate the length of your article in number of words.
- Background Information:
Include a short biography of yourself,
which should mention your qualifications for writing the proposed article.
This biography should also include your email address.
Even if we don’t need a particular idea you suggest,
we will keep your qualifications on file and may contact you to
develop other articles for which you are especially suited.
- Contact Information: Please include your name,
mailing address,
phone and fax numbers,
and e-mail address at the beginning of each of your submissions.
- Format: Send us your proposal as a URL to an HTML 4.0 document.
